DIY Baby Wipe Spray

We are cloth diapering our little one, and as the weeks go by it's getting MUCH easier. Less leaky diapers, which means a less stressed out mama!

Since we cloth diaper, I've decided to make a baby wipe spray to make our diapering journey even more environmentally friendly. What we do, is spray this wonderful smelling spray on our baby's bum, and wipe it off with a clean cloth.

I find most wipes have a bunch of chemicals that aren't actually good for baby's bum, and can actually lead to dry, irritated skin. Some of these chemicals include, but not limited to:
Propylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Disodium Phosphate, Disodium Edta, Ethylene Brassylate, 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol, 10Dopropynyl Butylcarbamate

I truly believe in the saying that "if you don't know what the ingredient is, then neither will your body." That should be true for both food AND anything you put on our bodies.

If you're interested in using this same spray we use, then here's the recipe:

◆ 2 cups warm water
◆ 3 tbsp witch hazel (soothing cleaner for baby's sensitive skin)
◆ 3 tbsp baby oil, your choice (I use this one)
◆ 10-14 drops lavender essential oil (depending on your preference)

Mix it all in a jar, then I put mine in a spray bottle (there should be some extra too that you could keep in the jar until the spray bottle is empty).
